A police pursuit in Norman ended with a head-on collision and two arrests, Saturday morning.

The pursuit began in the area of 24th Ave. and Imhoff Rd. at approximately 10:30 a.m.

According to Norman Police, as the pursuit traveled north on Classen Blvd. the suspects' vehicle, a 2001 Chevy Impala, evaded left of center and into the oncoming lane where it collided with a 2008 Chrysler Van near the 12th Ave. SE intersection.

Police have identified the driver of the impala as 35-year-old Charles Holbert II. Two other passengers in the impala were identified as Sarah Williams, 29, and Jennifer Jones, 23.

All three people in the impala and two people in the van were transported to Norman Regional Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Holbert was taken into custody on charges related to the pursuit and drug related charges. Williams was also arrested on drug related charges. Police did not say if Jones is facing any charges.

After the collision, investigators closed Classen Blvd. between 12th Ave. SE and Constitution St. Norman Police, OU Campus Police, EMSStat, Norman Fire, OHP and ODOT assisted in the chase. The collision is still under investigation.
