Truck Driven By Armed Pottawattomie County Runaway Found In Texas

The Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed the truck an armed teenager stole from his parents was found in north Texas.

Two people were also discovered shot to death inside the truck. The identities of those killed have not been released.

The sheriff’s office began a search for 17-year-old Kenneth Chaffin on Tuesday. The teenager ran away from his parents’ house, located in the 3200 block of Waco Road, on the west side of Pottawatomie County Monday night. According to authorities, he left with his parents' weapons which included nine handguns, six rifles and 1500-2000 rounds of ammunition.

Investigators say the teenager stole his parents’ medication and their pickup truck. The truck is described as a red, 1991 Ford Ranger with an Oklahoma tag 680HSQ. Police say the windows of the truck are tinted, and the driver’s side window has white lettering on it. There is also a Browning Sticker on the back window of the truck.
