Governor Mary Fallin signed two new bills into Oklahoma law Monday. One has to do with the punishment for failure to pay child support, and the other concerns home bakeries.

The first new law is intended to motivate deadbeat parents into paying child support by punishing them with community service instead of jail time.

It gives judges a new option for dealing with Oklahomans who don't pay child support. If the offender is willingly unemployed, they can now be sentenced to community service for eight hours, twice a week.

Also signed into law Monday was the Home Bakery Act.

The law allows anyone to sell baked goods without being licensed by the health department. It stipulates a $20,000 annual sales limit, however, and the food can't contain fresh fruit or meat.

The products must also be labeled as coming from a home food establishment.
