Cold air has returned to northeast Oklahoma, at least for the next 24 hours.
A cold front has moved into Oklahoma and News On 6 meteorologist Alan Crone says by Wednesday morning portions of the state north and west of Tulsa could see temperatures dip into the upper 20s to low 30s.
Crone says gusty northerly winds could keep most areas just above the freezing mark, but valleys and lower elevations could dip below 32 degrees.
The National Weather Service has issued a frost advisory for most of northeast Oklahoma and southeast Kansas Wednesday from 1 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Crone says sensitive outdoor plants like tomatoes may be killed if left unprotected from the cold.
Looking past Wednesday, Crone doesn't see any more cold weather as we approach the month of May.
