Head Coach Misti Cussen is proud to announce that four student-athletes have signed National Letters of Intent to join the Oral Roberts University women's basketball team for the 2013-14 season.

Kaylan Mayberry, Atoe Jackson, Carolina Lopez and Tysia Manuel signed the dotted line last week to officially become part of the Golden Eagle program.  In addition, Sapulpa product April Glisson has committed to ORU and will join the roster in 2013-14.

Headlining the class is Mayberry, a product of Tulsa's Booker T. Washington High School. Mayberry averaged 11.9 points and 3.4 steals per game as a high school senior in 2012-13, when she led the Lady Hornets to the OSSAA Class 6A State Championship. The daughter of former NBA veteran Lee Mayberry, ORU's newest addition was named the Tulsa World All-Metro Player of the Year earlier this month.

Lopez, a rising junior out of Cali, Columbia, spent the past two seasons at Tyler (Texas) Junior College. The 6-2 center averaged 7.1 points and 3.8 rebounds as a sophomore, shooting 44.9% from the field in 30 appearances.

Jackson, a native of Los Angeles, Calif., was a member of the Panola (Texas) College program for the past two seasons. The 5-9 forward led the Fillies in scoring and rebounding as a sophomore, when she averaged 11.6 points and 6.6 boards per game.

Manuel hails from Marietta, and she spent her first two collegiate seasons at Butler (Kansas) Community College, where she helped the Grizzlies go 26-7 and set a program record for conference victories in 2012-13. The 5-10 small forward averaged 8.1 points during her sophomore season and was a defensive ace, tallying 1.2 steals per game.

Glisson was an honorable mention Tulsa World All-Metro selection as a senior, when she averaged 9.0 points and 5.1 rebounds per game for the Chieftains.

ORU's five spring newcomers join a class of four early signees that committed to the Golden Eagles in November. Dorottya Balla of Pecs, Hungary, Vanessa Matlock of Fayetteville, Ark., Teana Ogden of Denton, Texas and Alexus Wilson of Muskogee have already signed to join the Golden Eagle program in 2013-14.

The newcomers will join a talented group of veterans in 2013-14, including former Summit League All-Newcomer selection Bernadett Balla, honorable mention All-Southland Conference pick Sarah Shelton, Oklahoma State transfer Jenni Bryan, and Tulsa native Christian Key, who broke the school's single-season three-point percentage record last year.

Oral Roberts went 18-13 last season and won the Southland Conference regular season and tournament titles. The Golden Eagles advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the sixth time in program history, falling to Tennessee in the opening round.
