ADAIR COUNTY, Oklahoma - A cold front moved across eastern Oklahoma Thursday and left snow behind.

It may have not been a lot, but snow fell in Tulsa Thursday afternoon, setting a new record. May 2nd is now the latest day of the year for Tulsa residents to see snowfall.

News On 6 meteorologist Alan Crone says the previous record was a trace of snow recorded April 18, 1953.

As the storm front exited the state, residents in the eastern Oklahoma counties of Adair and Delaware found snow on the ground as they awoke Friday.

Viewers submitted photos to NewsOn6.com of snow in Stilwell, Christie and West Siloam Springs. There was also video of snowfall in Grove Thursday evening. [see above]
