A father and son are in custody have been arrested in connection with the disappearance of Tina Brashear, who went missing more than two years ago.

James Alan “Jimmy” Alexander, 49, is being held on a first-degree murder complaint, and his father Jack Alexander, 84, is being held for accessory to murder.

Tina Brashear hasn't been seen in two years, one month and two days.

Her family says the last time anyone saw Tina she was with her boyfriend, Jimmy Alexander.

Court documents say the night Tina went missing, the two had been drinking at Jimmy's house in Kellyville and arguing about Tina having Jimmy arrested for domestic assault.

At the time, her boyfriend told detectives he didn't remember being with Tina on April first because when he drinks he gets foggy.

The affidavit says few months after Tina disappeared, a friend told investigators that Alexander once said "he had gotten rid of that girl and he thought he hid the body good."

Documents say Jimmy also asked friends what they would think if he dismembered her, then said "here it goes, I did it. I am sorry I am so sad."

He was reportedly intoxicated at the time of the conversations.

But fast forward to this April - that's when a family friend called investigators.

Court documents show that man told detectives he was at Jimmy's house the day after Tina went missing.

He said there was blood everywhere and metal rod that had blood and hair all over it.

The tipster told detectives that Jimmy's father Jack said his son beat Tina to death, but hadn't told anyone because he didn't want to lose another son.

According to the documents, one of Jack's sons was in prison for murder, and the other had just died.

The affidavit says the tipster discovered a fresh, hand dug grave in a private cemetery behind Jimmy's house, about two months after Tina vanished.

There was reportedly a marker with Jimmy's brother Robert's name on the grave, but court documents show Robert was cremated in 2010.

At this point, Tina's body has not been recovered.

Tina left three children behind.

Her mother and brother said the last two years have been devastating for the family, but they're hopeful she'll be found soon.
