As spring brings higher temperatures, it's important to be aware of the risk heat can pose to your little ones.
AAA Oklahoma held a news conference Wednesday to remind people about the dangers of leaving kids and pets in hot cars.
Law enforcement, pediatricians and veterinarians, and even one mother, who actually left her then 4-month-old baby in a car and nearly lost him forever, spoke about the seriousness of the issue.
"He is a miracle, because an hour-and-a-half in July heat in the car, children just don't survive," said Candace Bahr.
Child safety group Kids and Cars says more than 600 kids have died from being left alone in cars since 1991.
