SUV Catches Fire On Broken Arrow Expressway

A sport utility vehicle burst into flames along the Broken Arrow Expressway Saturday afternoon about 5 p.m.

A Chevrolet Trailblazer was traveling in the westbound lanes between 161st East Avenue and 145th East Avenue when the incident occurred.

A BA police officer said the vehicle locked up and skidded down an embankment before catching fire.

Smoke could be seen from the BA Expressway and U.S. Highway 169, a witness said.

The driver had burned hands and was transported to a hospital by ambulance.
