Officials confirm that this rumor is false, and released the following statement concerning the rumor,

"Moore Public Schools adamantly denies that any teacher was fired for praying with their students," said MPS Superintendent Susan "Susie" Pierce. "We find this accusation offensive and insulting. During this extremely difficult time, when we are trying to heal our community, we are dealing with angry and threatening messages from individuals who have chosen to believe this fabricated story without checking on its accuracy."

"Rest assured, messages containing threats are being turned over to the police and we will do so until this rumor is put to rest. To those of you who have contributed to the outpouring of love, support and generosity shown to our community, please know your kindness and prayers are lifting us up and our gratitude to you is endless."

Officials say they want to put a stop to this rumor, and that many school employees, teachers, and administrators were praying before and during the tornado strikes, and will continue to do so throughout the recovery process.
