TULSA, Oklahoma - A Broken Arrow man fought with Tulsa Police early Wednesday after officers stopped his badly damaged car.

Police say a security guard called them shortly after 2 a.m. to report a drunk driver on 11th Street. Officers stopped the car at 21st and Jamestown and were in the process of placing Adam Gross, 27, into handcuffs when he began fighting with the officers.

Police say one officer suffered a bite and the other was kicked in the groin.

EMSA paramedics checked Gross for injuries, then police took him to the Tulsa County jail.

Gross was booked in on complaints of assault and battery on a police officer, driving under the influence and driving under suspension.

Police say the car Gross was driving had two flat tires and it had been involved in a crash prior to the traffic stop.
