Conner Crumbliss smacked a two-out single to right to give the Midland RockHounds (27-26) a walk-off 5-4 win over the Tulsa Drillers (23-29) Thursday night.

The RockHounds struck first Thursday with a first-inning, two-RBI triple from Dusty Coleman. Tulsa wasted no time getting back into it when Kent Matthes launched his eighth homer of the season in the top of the second; a two-run shot tying the game at 2-2.

Later in the inning, Joey Wong scored Dustin Garneau on an RBI single and Tulsa held a 3-2 lead.

The Drillers added another run in the top of the fifth when Cristhian Adames chased Rafael Ortega home with an RBI single, but Midland wasn't going away.

David Freitas opened the seventh with a solo shot to bring Midland within 4-3, and then D'Arby Myers tied it with a single later in the inning.

Kyler Newby (2-0) earned the win in relief, pitching two scoreless innings for the RockHounds. Mike Mabry (0-2) took the loss for Tulsa.

The Drillers open a three-game series at Frisco Friday night.
