BARTLESVILLE, Oklahoma - A Bartlesville man has been sentenced to life in prison following his April 2013 conviction on a lewd molestation charge.
Adam Horton, 31, was arrested in July 2012 on complaints of first-degree rape and lewd molestation involving two girls ages 5 and 8.
At his trial in Washington County District Court, a jury found Horton not guilty on the rape charge, but guilty on one of two lewd molestation charges. The jury recommended a sentence of life in prison.
A judge followed the jury's recommendation at Adam Horton's sentencing on May 29, 2013. The judge also ordered him to pay $1,000 in victim's compensation and register as a sex offender.
