A vacant Tulsa house caught fire early Wednesday, destroying the home and threatening nearby structures.

Tulsa Fire got the call just before 5:30 a.m. to the 4600 block of North Main.

When firefighters arrived, they saw flames coming through the roof. At one point, firefighters had to back out of the home because of fears the roof would collapse.

A broken fire hydrant made it more difficult for firefighters to put out the fire. They had to find another hydrant a couple of blocks away.

Nearby homes near the fire were not damaged in the fire.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
