Relay For Boston Marathon Bombing Victims Runs Through Tulsa

A 3,300 mile non-stop relay to honor Boston passed through Tulsa Wednesday.

One Run For Boston started in Los Angeles and will end in Boston. Proceeds are going to victims of the Boston Marathon bombing.

Hundreds of runners across America are signing up to carry the baton for a stage of the relay. But participants say it's not about the run, it's about being apart of something greater.

"No less than 3,000 people will touch this torch as it carries itself across LA, to Boston, and to have that many people be involved in something so big is a testament to America. Glad to be part of it," said participant Lane Perry.

The organizers say all Oklahoma runners can give their proceeds to Oklahoma tornado victims.

The relay is scheduled to reach Boston on June 30.
