ORU men's basketball alum Warren Niles has been named to the Golden State Warriors 2013 Summer League roster, it was announced Monday.

A 2013 first team All-Southland selection, Niles is one of 18 players on the roster, and joins former Summit League opponent Alex Young (IUPUI) on the squad.

Niles finished his ORU career with 1,984 career points (8th) and 292 made 3-pointers (4th). He was on fire to start the year, scoring 20 points in the eight of the first 11 games of the year. He was the CAARS/Safeway Great Alaska Shootout Game MVP in a Golden Eagle win over Loyola Marymount and was a five-time Southland Conference Player of the Week.

Golden State's Summer League schedule begins against the Washington Wizards on Saturday, July 13, which will be broadcast live on NBA TV (1:00 p.m. PDT), and also includes games against the Sacramento Kings on Monday, July 15, and the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday, July 16. Following those three preliminary round games, the Warriors will be seeded accordingly in the debut of a tournament-style schedule that will culminate in a Championship Game on July 22, crowning the first-ever NBA Summer League Champion.

The 2013 NBA Summer League will feature 22 teams competing in a 61-game schedule from July 12-22 at the Thomas & Mack Center and the COX Pavilion on the campus of the University of Nevada Las Vegas.
