Tulsans came together Thursday evening to show their disapproval of the ruling in the case of George Zimmerman.

A large group gathered wearing hoodies to march from Tulsa City Hall down to the Greenwood District.

Similar groups have been gathering across the country ever since the former neighborhood watch member was found not guilty in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin.

Participants of the march were pleased with the turnout and the tone of the demonstration.

"I'm glad there's no violence. I think that we can come together without violence and make a stand like MLK told us to do," said Katrina Sells.

The justice department says it is looking into possibly filing civil charges against Zimmerman.
