Coffeyville, Kansas Woman Arrested Following Stabbing

Coffeyville Police arrested a woman late Monday in connection with a stabbing.

Police say officers were called to a home in the 500 block of East 8th Street just after 9 p.m.

Officers found Shawn Durden, 42, inside the home suffering from stab wounds to his chest and neck.

A short time later police located Veronica Gadlin, 36, and booked her into the Montgomery County, Kansas jail on a complaint of attempted 2nd degree murder.

Police say Durden was taken to a Coffeyville hospital where he was admitted in stable condition.

Detectives say their investigation continues and they ask anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact Coffeyville Police at 620-252-6160.
