Supporters Of Brady Street Name Change Hold 'No Brady Block Party'

The battle over the name of downtown Tulsa's Brady Street continued Wednesday night.

The Greenwood Cultural Center played host to a "No Brady Block Party."

The group wants to change the name of Brady Street to Burlington Street, an idea the city council will vote on Thursday.

Even if it's approved, it may not become official, as Mayor Dewey Bartlett is opposed to the idea.

"I'm not a fan of trying to revise history and ignore history, history is a great teacher," Bartlett said.
