Tulsa Child Crisis detectives say they found over 1,000 images of child pornography on a Eucha man's flash drive, plus a video of a cat he'd apparently killed with a frying pan. Matthew William Hamson is in the Tulsa County Jail on a $45,250 bond.

A Highway Patrol trooper first arrested Hamson in a traffic stop Wednesday, October 23. The trooper said Hamson's car was weaving across lanes, and the 26-year-old man showed other signs of being under the influence of drugs.

Hamson gave the trooper permission to look in his car, according to the arrest report, staying he had a clean record and nothing to hide. He also reportedly "made statements about praising Jesus," while the trooper gave him a sobriety test.

A passenger in Hamson's car, 18-year-old Grady Hayes, told the arresting officer he saw Hamson put something near his feet and under the back of the seat. The trooper found a pipe and a mint container with "multiple large shards" of crystal methamphetamine and several baggies.

Hamson was taken to jail for drug possession with intent to sell, maintaining a vehicle where drugs are kept or sold, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to affix a tax stamp.

A wrecker driver discovered a flash drive while impounding the car, according to Officer Leland Ashley with the Tulsa Police Department.

Child Crisis detectives got a search warrant and that's when they found the images of child pornography and a video Ashley said had a "bloody cat" whose head had been smashed with a frying pan.

Additional charges of aggravated possession of child pornography, manufacturing child pornography and cruelty to animals were brought against Hamson. The passenger in his car was arrested on complaints of drug possession with intent, possession of paraphernalia, and failure to affix a tax stamp.

Hayes is being held on a $11,250 bond.
