A pedestrian was killed after he reportedly ran into the highway and was then hit by two cars Friday night on U.S. 69 near Durant.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, it happened at about 7:30 p.m. in the northbound lanes of U.S. 69, just north of Durant in Bryan County.

A 2006 Kia Rio driven by 19-year-old Ricki Braziell of Caddo, Oklahoma, was northbound on U.S. 69 when a pedestrian ran into the roadway and hit the passenger side of Braziell's car.

The pedestrian was then struck by another unknown vehicle while lying in the roadway. Police have identified the victim as 54-year-old Ronald Dale Hunter of Odessa, Texas.
