A Broken Arrow teenager showed her support for soldiers by swimming for the past 24 hours straight.

Seventeen-year-old Neariah Persinger met her goal Wednesday evening.

She's been swimming laps at the Boys and Girls Club in Broken Arrow since 5 p.m. Tuesday to raise money for the Wounded Soldiers Project.

"I want to remember the veterans before Thanksgiving, because I'm thankful for the veterans," Persinger said. "I'm very tired. My hands look like raisins; so do my feet."

This isn't the first time the determined teen has made a splash for a good cause. She's already raised money to buy a handicapped lift for the pool.
