Tulsa County Sheriff's Office Honors Its Best And Brightest

The Tulsa County Sheriff's office honored some of its best and brightest Thursday.

Nearly 50 deputies, detention officers and clerical staff received commendations for distinguished service and their life saving efforts.

"We've just been very fortunate to have the caliber of employees we have working for us at our office and serving the citizens in Tulsa County," said Undersheriff Tim Albin.

Detention Officer Tyler Brown was presented with the purple heart, after he was badly injured when he was attacked by an inmate.
