Tulsa 4-Year-Old Hit By Car After Getting Off School Bus

A 4-year-old child was rushed to the hospital Thursday afternoon after being hit by a car moments after getting off the school bus.

Police say a man failed to stop for the bus and hit the boy as he was crossing the street near 4th and Memorial.

Officers say the bus driver and other parents at the bus stop saw what was about to happen and tried to get the man to stop, but he didn't.

The boy's parents took him to the hospital with a possible head injury, but he's expected to be okay.

Police say the driver will be cited and he was not allowed to leave in his car.
