Oral Roberts struggled offensively on Monday afternoon and fell to Northwestern, 84-54, at Welsh-Ryan Arena. ORU (1-7) shot just 31.5% (17-for-54) from the field and committed 27 turnovers.

Christian Key led the Golden Eagles with 15 points, 13 of the markers coming after halftime. Key nailed a trio of three-pointers and added three assists.

Freshman Dorottya Balla continued her strong run of play, with nine points. Sarah Shelton added seven points and eight rebounds, including seven offensive boards.

Christen Inman and Maggie Lyon scored 17 points each to lead the Wildcats (8-2), with Lyon draining five three-pointers. Northwestern shot 48.4% (30-for-62) as a team, including 52.6% (10-for-19) from three-point range.

ORU conceded the first nine points of the game and never held a lead. Northwestern's advantage was 43-24 at the halftime break, and they led by as many as 33 points in the second half.

Two ORU reserves had their best day in a Golden Eagle uniform on Monday. Atoe' Jackson scored an ORU career high of seven points, while Tysia Manuel scored an ORU-high five points, including her first three-pointer.

Jenni Bryan led the Golden Eagles with four assists, while Manuel pocketed three steals. ORU came up with 12 thefts as a team.

ORU will make the short ride to Milwaukee, Wis., on Wednesday, December 18, for a matchup with Marquette. Tip time of that game is booked for 12 pm CT, with live radio coverage available on AM 1550 and ORUGoldenEagles.com.
