Osage County Man Dies After Gunshot To Head, Girlfriend Arrested
OSAGE COUNTY, Oklahoma - Deputies say a 48-year-old Osage County man has died after a shooting inside a rural Sand Springs home late Monday.
The Osage County Sheriff's Office said the shooting at a mobile home park in the 300 block of North 197th West Avenue happened at about 7:30 p.m. The park is located north and west of Sand Springs.
Deputies said Shawn Bunch's girlfriend, Serena Dodson, called 911 after the shooting. Deputies arrested Dodson, 35, and booked her to the Osage County jail in Pawhuska.
"A domestic disturbance arose and escalated into a male shot in the head," said Deputy Charlie Cartwright.
EMSA responded to the scene and took Shawn Bunch to Highway 412 where the paramedics met a medical helicopter. Deputies said he was pronounced dead at the hospital early Tuesday.
Cartwright said they obtained a search warrant and gathered evidence inside the home. He said his report will be forwarded to the Osage County District Attorney's Office Tuesday afternoon.
