Each year, Tulsa Police Department's Riverside Division receives hundreds of requests from needy families during its annual toy drive.

One of those requests came through TPD Officer JC Comstock for a third-grade class at McKinley Elementary School. The teacher of the class, Laverne Brown, talked to Comstock about her students' needs for Christmas.

Requests included pencils, paper, crayons, books, a pencil sharpener and even socks for the children.

This week, Tulsa's Crime Prevention Network filled Brown's request and delivered the gifts to the students at the school.
