TULSA, Oklahoma - The Hollywood film shot in northeast Oklahoma is set to hit theaters this week.

Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts star in "August: Osage County" about a dysfunctional family.  The film was shot in Osage and Washington counties.

Roberts plays Streep's daughter in the Pulitzer Prize winning story about an estranged family brought together by tragedy.

The movie was supposed to be released on Christmas day, it's now been pushed back two days and will open on Friday.

Ewan McGregor, Juliette Lewis and Dermot Mulroney also star in the film.

"August: Osage County" was written by playwright and Tulsa native Tracy Letts.
