TFD: Fire At Highland Park Apartments Started In Kitchen

The Tulsa Fire Department says a Monday night fire at Highland Park Apartments started in the kitchen.

It happened just after 10:30 p.m. at the complex located near East 51st Street and South Yale Avenue.

Investigators say someone wasn't paying attention to their cooking and that's what sent everything up in flames.

Firefighters rescued four people from the complex. They had to use their ladder, because flames kept some residenTS pinned on the third floor.
