No ambulances this year, as Tulsans continued an icy tradition - racing to be the first to splash into the New Year! Dozens suited up for this year's Polar Bear Race and Plunge.

It's a two-mile course, and along the way, racers have to jump in and out of three swimming pools.

"Three pools, and after each pool it felt like a suit of ice. It was just so cold," said Steven Trellys.

Five people had to be treated for hypothermia after last year's Polar Bear Plunge. A warm tent, bonfires, and hot pizza helped racers stay warm this year.
