The Tulsa Rowing Club's annual row-a-thon event was held Saturday, January 18 at the Tulsa Boat House, 715 West 21st Street. The annual fundraiser supports the junior rowing team.

The final rowing tally including students and coaches: 1,935,708 meters in 12 hours of rowing.

A Media Row-Off helped kick off the event Saturday morning on the west side of the Arkansas River.

Tara Vreeland of News On 6 won the women's division row-off with 270 meters in one minute. Michael Seger won the men's media division.

Tulsa Rowing Club Juniors teaches rowing technique and gives young athletes a chance to compete in regional and national regattas. Some go on to earn rowing scholarships at colleges and universities.
