TULSA, Oklahoma - Tulsa's Avalon Correctional Center is now empty and closed. The last inmates were moved out of the downtown men's halfway house Tuesday.

The Department of Corrections has been moving the men over the past week.

A videotaped fight is part of the reason why. It happened in one of the center's dormitories and appears to show inmates gambling on the outcome, and an employee encouraging the fight.

The Department of Corrections canceled its contract with Avalon.

The private contractor is now working with the D.O.C. to fix the problems, in hopes it can resume housing inmates in Tulsa.
