A Tulsa woman was arrested for permitting sexual abuse on a minor after police say she left a girl with a known sexual predator. Police say Melissa Rocha left two minor relatives alone while she went to go play pool.

Officers arrested Rocha late Friday afternoon, January 24. She is being held in lieu of a $50,000 bond.

Police say Rocha was aware that one of the minor relatives in her care had gone to treatment for being a sexual predator. During her arrest, Rocha admitted to leaving the boy and girl home alone for several hours a couple of times a week while she plays pool.

Police say this is when the sexual abuse took place.

A detective who was taking the female minor for a sexual assault medical exam said Rocha contacted the girl by cell phone and told her not to talk to the police or answer any of their questions.

Police say they found Rocha, 33, had some outstanding traffic warrants when they arrested her for permitting sexual abuse of a minor.
