TULSA, Oklahoma - Two fishermen find their Oklahoma moment on the high seas. Strangers to the game of deep-sea fishing, they hooked an unlikely championship in Pompano Beach, Florida.

Chris Thomas and Ryan Jones finished first and second in the first-ever offshore kayak fishing tournament for sailfish.

Both are Oklahoma bass fishermen. Neither had ever fished in the ocean before.They competed in a field of 12 anglers, many local Florida fishermen.

To train for their deep sea adventure, Ryan and Chris trained at Grand Lake, catching 60-pound paddlefish.
