A 16-year-old serial rape suspect was arrested Thursday in south Tulsa. The teenager's family said they are surprised with the arrest.

Police said they haven't tied him to any other cases but believe with the arrest, they're clearing up four sexual assaults from the last three months.

The family of Dayquan Williams hopes he's innocent, but they're waiting for a chance to talk with him; he's only been in jail for 24 hours and they're making arrangements for his defense.

Williams, 16, was picked up by police Thursday. They have tied him to four sexual assaults around where he lives and last attended school.

Police blame him for an assault at the Sugarberry Apartments last November and for one at the Greens of Bedford Apartments.

He's also accused of a sexual assault on an employee at the Agora Coffee Shop in December, and an attack on Union High School student last month.

All of the crime scenes aren't far from the apartment where he lives with his 18-year-old brother Damon.

"I just can't believe he would do it though, he's my brother. I've been living with him my whole life, and I've never seen him act like that with any female," Damon Williams said.

Damon said his brother dropped out of high school in 10th grade but was trying to get back on track.

He said the family hasn't seen or heard from Dayquan since his arrest, and admitted he's been in trouble with the law before but wouldn't say for what.

Police won't detail Dayquan's prior record because of his age, but that will change if he's charged as an adult, which is likely.

Williams has a long list of serious accusations against him, including robbery, burglary, rape and kidnapping for four separate incidents.

His brother is worried he won't ever get out of prison.

"Yeah, it's my brother, that's why I'm going to ride with him to the end. I just don't want him to do 25 to life, I just don't. I just want to see my brother," Williams said.

It's up to the District Attorney on how to charge a 16 year old in cases like this. The paperwork on the case is being wrapped up at the police department.
