Special Needs Dog 'Platty' Draws A Crowd In Tulsa
TULSA, Oklahoma - A dog named Platty doesn't have a lot of time left, but thanks to the kindness of some animal rescuers he is spending his last days with a lot of love and attention.
The 10-year-old golden retriever was taken to Tulsa Animal welfare with an inoperable growth and was scheduled to be euthanized.
But a volunteer fell in love and took Platty home. Platty met with some of his fans at the Fontana Shopping Center Sunday.
His new owners are raising money for his care and medical bills. What is left from Platty's Memorial Fund will be used to help other special needs shelter dogs.
