The crumbling state capitol building is a step closer to some repairs.
A $160 million bond issue won overwhelming bipartisan approval on Wednesday from the Senate Appropriations Committee.

Former House speaker T.W. Shannon criticized the bond, but the newly elected speaker Jeff Hickman says he's open to the idea.
