Woman Injured When SUV Rolls Over On Sand Springs Expressway

A woman was hurt in a single-vehicle crash in the westbound lanes of the Sand Springs Expressway at Quanah Thursday morning.

Emergency crews blocked several lanes of the expressway just west of the IDL after an SUV hit a wall and rolled onto its side just before 6:30 a.m. The crash backed traffic up for at least a mile.

The Tulsa Fire Department had to lift the Toyota RAV4 in order to get the driver out of the vehicle.

EMSA took the driver to the hospital. Tulsa Police say the driver is listed in critical condition at a Tulsa hospital. They say she was not wearing a seat belt.

The westbound lanes were reopened just before 8:20 a.m.
