A Tulsa woman is in jail after police say she used her car as a weapon during a domestic dispute, damaging two houses. Dana Renee Boyles, also known as Dana Gibson, was booked on complaints of assault with a deadly weapon and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.
Tulsa Police were called to the 1300 block of North Yale at about 6 p.m. Friday, April 5 and spoke to Boyles' boyfriend. He told them he got into an argument with Boyles over missing rent money. He handed her a set of car keys and told her not to come back, according to an arrest report.
Police say the 41-year-old Boyles got in her Chrysler LeBaron while cursing at her boyfriend. She backed up into a neighbor's yard, taking out their wheelchair ramp. She then drove forward towards her boyfriend, smiling as she revved her engine, the report states.
Boyles drove forward toward the boyfriend at a high rate of speed, police say, then drove up into the porch as he ran inside the house.
When officers arrived on scene, Boyles had driven away, but they found her hiding in the neighbor's backyard just a few houses away, the arrest report states. Police say she smelled of alcohol, had bloodshot eyes and slurred speech.
Court records show that in addition to the new complaints, Boyles had an outstanding warrant for her arrest on a bogus check charge.
