A Tulsa County Sheriff's deputy was involved in a wreck early Saturday. The driver of the other car was detained for not having a valid driver's license.

The non-injury wreck took place at about 12:30 a.m. on Sheridan just south of 4th Street. The deputy was heading north on Sheridan in an SUV when he turned left across traffic into a parking lot to assist an Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper.

The inside lane of southbound traffic stopped for the deputy, but a silver Mitshubishi traveling in the outside lane with its headlights off did not, according to authorities at the scene.

The deputy's SUV just had minor damage, but the Mitsubishi had sustained damage to its front end.
