Stolen Public Works Truck Back In Owasso

The Tulsa Police Department recovered a utility truck stolen from the City of Owasso.

The Tulsa Police Department recovered a utility truck stolen from the City of Owasso. The truck was stolen Thursday morning from the Owasso Wastewater Treatment plant.

The bandit got behind the wheel of the 2002 Chevy one-ton flatbed crashed through the plant's security gate.

Lieutenant Nick Boatman said several items and tools were missing from the truck but it has been recovered.

"The Owasso Police Department wishes to thank the citizens of the Tulsa Metropolitan area for the outpouring of crime tips regarding the stolen City of Owasso Public Works utility truck," Boatman said in a news release.

"The investigation into the theft is ongoing, but we thank the community for the support."
