A Park Hill man is dead after a collision Saturday afternoon near Tahlequah. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Robert Hutchison died at Tahlequah City Hospital from injuries he received in the crash.

Hutchison was driving a 2005 Pontiac southbound on State Highway 82 just after 3 p.m. A pickup truck also headed southbound was stopped to turn left.

Hutchison's car hit the pickup from behind, a trooper's report states. The 59-year-old Hutchison, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pinned in his car and freed by the Keys Volunteer Fire Department.

Steven Springwater of Park Hill, who was driving the pickup, was treated and released with minor injuries. Two juvenile males in his truck were also treated and released, according to a collision report.

Police say the drivers of both vehicles were in apparently normal condition at the time of the crash. The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
