McALESTER, Oklahoma - The manager of the Check ‘n Go in the Tandy Town shopping center in McAlester got quite a surprise when a pair of deer crashed through the front window Tuesday afternoon.

Cora Reeves told the McAlester News Capital newspaper she was looking out the window when she saw three deer running through the parking lot straight toward her business.

"I saw these three deer running — and thought ‘oh no, there was nowhere for them to go,'" Reeves said.

She said the first deer crashed through the store's window and hit a counter. A second deer followed the first into the store before both ran back outside pushing out another glass panel on the way.

The two deer joined a third deer which had hit the front glass panel at Vapour Realm next door and ran away.

The McAlester Police Department reported no one was injured.

Reeves told the newspaper there were no signs of blood and believes the two deer that got inside the Check ‘n Go avoided getting cut.
