Tulsa City-County Library Opens Fundraising To Public
TULSA, Oklahoma - Even as the world continues to go viral, there's still an appreciation in Tulsa for a good old book.
The Tulsa City-County Central Library says private fundraising is going well for the $50 million renovation of the Central Library, and of Friday, the Library opened up fundraising to everyone.
Tulsa City-County Library CEO, Gary Shaffer, said, "Everyone needs to know that libraries do change lives. We have 10,000 people a day coming into our doors. There are more public libraries in the United States than there are Starbucks or McDonalds, and we are busier than we've ever been."
There are several way to donate, and different types of recognition for donating, like having names listed on the new walls.
