We see them at the Tulsa International Airport, but in light of Memorial Day, we'd like to point out two statues that honor those who served in the United States Armed Forces.

A statue honoring World War II Marine Albert E. Schwab is a daily reminder of those who protect our freedoms. Schwab was a recipient of the Medal of Honor.

Schwab died on Okinawa and was a posthumous recipient of the Medal of Honor.

The center terminal of Tulsa International Airport was renamed the PFC Albert E. Schwab Hall.

Over 16,000 airmen flight trained at the airport during World War II, and an outdoor statue pays tribute to them.
