Tulsa Train Derailment Closes Interstate 244 Ramp At 23rd Street

A train derailment closed the Interstate 244 ramp to 23rd Street on Saturday night.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the westbound off ramp would be closed until further notice. Officials also shut down all entries into the train yard.

Engineers are on the scene inspecting the bridge to determine if there is structural damage to the pillars.

The Tulsa Fire Department said six cars were involved and a tank was being purged.

Hazmat crews will clean up the liquid spill, Tulsa police said.
