Tulsa Man In Custody After Double Stabbing
TULSA, Oklahoma - A man is fighting for his life at a Tulsa hospital after police say he was stabbed. They say it started with a fight between friends, and a woman who tried to step in also got injured.
The suspect in the stabbing, Thurman Archibald, was booked into Tulsa County Jail early Monday. His bond is set at $60,000.
Police say everything started around 8 p.m. Sunday at the Eden Wood Apartments, near Virgin and North Hartford. Investigators say Archibald was fighting with a man he knew, and stabbed him with a pocketknife in the chest.
They say a woman tried to intervene, and Archibald slashed her in the face. She went to the hospital to get stitches, and police say it appears she will be OK.
Archibald told Police he was protecting himself, according to an arrest report.
