Family Of Woman Killed In Tulsa Construction Accident Files Wrongful Death Suit
TULSA, Oklahoma - Editor's note: An earlier version of this story incorrectly reported that Hernandez worked for Sherwood Construction. She was an employee of Mack's S & S, a sub-contractor on the project.
The family of a woman killed in a construction accident in March filed a wrongful death suit in Tulsa County court Thursday.
Investigators said a dump truck backed over 48-year-old Eri Hernandez while she worked the construction zone near 177th East Avenue and I-44. She died at the scene.
Her family is suing the driver of the truck that hit her and his employer, Jimbo's Trucking.
Court documents also show the Hernandez family is suing the driver of the dump truck, the company he worked for (Jimbo's Trucking) and Sherwood Construction, the prime contractor on the project.
