Van Driver Arrested After Hitting Tulsa Utility Pole

A driver was arrested by Tulsa Police after he crashed his minivan into a utility pole, splitting it in half early Saturday.

Officers said the driver, who was not injured, was headed east when he drove off the road and struck the pole in the 3700 block of East 11th Street at about 3:30 a.m.

Public Service Company of Oklahoma had to be called out to replace the pole and reconnect several electrical lines.

Police did not release the driver's name, but said he was booked into the Tulsa County jail on a DUI complaint.
