In Broken Arrow, Saturday was a great day to shop for fresh produce at the Rose District Farmers' Market.

This month organizers are helping to raise awareness for Abused Children's Shelter.

Kids could plant a seed to change a life in the kids corner while helping a cause.

Blueberries, blackberries and corn are in season this month, and the produce is fresher than ever.

"It's a great time to shop," organizer Judy Prieto said. "The food is excellent this year because we've had so much rain. It's a great year. It's a great year for produce locally."

The Rose District Farmers Market is unique as it exclusively promotes Oklahoma-made and Oklahoma-grown products.
